THAT is a an extremely beautiful handmade treasure chest.
My enormously talented other half surprised me with this gift this afternoon.
This is an extremely blurry picture of the elegantly done engraving of my name which was also manually carved with the help of a knife and hammer.
If you have magic eyes, you can also make out the very beautiful antique lock set.
This is the amazing period piece handle fixed on the side. Bought at an antiquarian. It is supposed to be a door knob apparently, but now has been modified to suit treasure-chest-making purposes.
I hate the lighting.
The chest is gorgeous.
