Agh. That is the thousandth time Firefox crashed on me.
Why is it the better browser again?
Does anyone else encounter the same problem? Or am I the only one?

You may be the only one-- among Windows users anyway. It may be a problem with one of your extensions; some of them conflict with each other, which is a terribly sucky thing. And if you're using MacOS X, you're generally better off with the bundled Safari.
Hasn't happened to me so far...
LIW, it always crashes when I visit your blog or any site with high graphic content and the video thingies. It is so annoying.
Naz, I and starting to like Safari for the speed of pageloads and no crashes now. But I am so lazy to carry all my luggage from Firefox to Safari. Haha. I must do it soon.
Use lynx browser.. :D
Oops, I shouldn't have commented on this entry...

Actually, InformationWeek published an article containing
"http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=175007152" title="Firefox 1.5 Stability Problems? Readers And Mozilla Respond">problems that people have had with Firefox 1.5. So no, no browser is perfect.
As naz said, it is likely to be a problem with one of the Extensions. Session Saver in particular kept causing FF to crash on my OS X so I wouldn't be surprised if there are other faulty Extensions out there. And Tabbrowser Extensions is famous for being strongly unrecommended by the Mozilla Foundation.
I used to have Session Saver but I crash every 30 minutes so I uninstalled it. Now I only have the Google Toolbar, the DOM Inspector (which was a default extension, it came with the program) and Talkback.
But doesn't everyone has those?
